Did Kaner speak to the press after the game or since? I honestly just want to know what was going on there. Was he messing around with Quinn? I don’t think he was mad or anything, I know they have a ton of respect for each other. How do you even explain something that bone headed??

To be clear, that goal Talbot let in on the Kane penalty was weak. Goal tenders on playoff teams stop that shot 9/10 times along with continued D zone faceoff losses. Why is Cossa not up for the duration of the season? Make it make sense.
I'll have to disagee here. Yes, it was a bad play, no doubt. That one play didn't cost them the game. The 50 minutes of flat play cost them the game.

How did a minor penalty at 5v5 in a tie game cost them the game? He didn't give them a penalty shot or a 2-man advantage. Maybe Chiarot should learn how to clear pucks and cover guys, or maybe Talbot should learn how to stop something.
And the game was only tied bc Kane had tied it in the first place. Just like the Wings were only still even on playoff life support bc Patrick Kane along w Cat has been carrying the team for a month.
6g/13a/19pts the last 15 games, 6g/8a/14pts at even strength the last 14 games. 5 games with multiple even strength points in the last 10.
Maybe look to your own homegrown choker bums for the reason the team will miss the playoffs. Larkin w his 1g/3a/4pts at 5v5 the last 39 games. That's HALF A SEASON. Raymond w his usual key stretch collapse, 5g/3a/8pts -9 his last 15, without a single primary assist.
It’s not a question of whether one penalty cost them the game or not. Yes, it was a significant factor. The point is you need your veterans to be the guys showing the younger guys how to keep their heads and make winning plays in crunch time. That was a bone-headed, losing play – and you can’t have it from your most decorated veteran and expect to be a playoff team.
