Marty is always talking about situational awareness. They had the lead and and lots of time on the power play. No need for that stretch pass. On the backcheck if he kept skating he could have been close enough to hook or tripp Hughes to prevent a goal being scored and played 4 on 4 hockey instead of it becoming a one goal game.
Habs pulled a Buffalo last night. The game after the Sabres qualified for the playoffs, they didn't show up and got beated like 6-2. Montreal learned before the game that they were now qualified for the playoffs and simply didn't show up for the game.
