  1. Say what you want about torts and how he wears his teams out but teams over a few years but hes a great person and cares for people aroujd him

  2. As a VGK fan…the coaching change shock has wore off, If there is any blame this season…it's the front offices fault this late in the season. But hey, it's the VGK, we've done some amazing things right out of the gate. Great interview and we've gained some insight. Your our coach now and you have a fan base like no other in the history of the NHL. Hopefully, one day, you can experience the parade for NY NY to T-Mobile. Welcome to the VGK.

  3. Very nice human, unfortunately he has a very short shelf life. I doubt he lasts longer than the end of next season.

  4. People can say what they want about Torts but he's a good guy and a class act. Bruins fan here and I hope he does well!

  5. Modern day version of Mike Keenan!! A-hole who's never masterminded a Stanley Cup Championship like the great coaches have. More losing than winning, look at his career record. .538 winning %

  6. As a lifelong Flyers fan one thing I noticed is that Torts is a good human being, albeit a spazz at times. Nothing new for me when you grow up with two Italian-American families w/ lots of aunts and uncles. He’ll do a good job for Vegas, he did good for Philly, I just don’t think he’s the long term solution for a rebuild.

  7. Torts is back where he wants to be, behind the bench coaching an NHL franchise. And you could sense the anticipation in him coaching a team in the west for the first time after spending so many years coaching in the east. I've always been a Bruins fan for life, but became a fan of the VGK the moment the league expanded to Vegas. Wish him well, and can't wait for the VGK to push their way through the playoffs!

  8. If anything you have to respect Torts. He gets his players motivated. I respect the man for what he told his players, when all the football and other sports were kneeling during the National Anthem. He took a stand and told team if they sat during the anthem they would sit on the bench the entire game. He did change his policy 4 years later. But I respect a coach, that wont tolerate nonsense.

  9. It’s crazy Tort’s is still getting head coaching jobs over some younger upcoming coaches. He must be well liked in the hockey world and must be very organized.

  10. As a New York Rangers fan I absolutely love Torts. He did a lot of work with animals in our community. I became friends with at the time Assistant Coach Mike Sullivan and am to this day. He raves about Torts as a human being. So although fiery and very competitive Torts does have a side few see. Good Luck in Vegas Torts! This Rangers fan is pulling for you guys!! 🫡💪
