Time to blow it up. Not sure if that means bringing in a new front office with new ideas or Stevie blowing up the roster and trying something new. Don’t really care, but if we come into next year with mostly the same team plus some random depth vets I’m out

Fire Chris Yzerman
The Justin Faulk trade was a disaster. Just a total "we had to do something" trade. No 1st round pick this year and we're stuck with a 34 year old borderline 2nd/3rd pair defenseman for another year. Would we have drafted a true gamer changer at 15? Who knows, but at the very least, we would have more assets to work with this summer to make trades for a much better (younger) player.
You’re right. Just don’t play. The Give-A-Shit meter is completely broken. It’s insane. The Griffen’s are more fun to watch at this point.
What’s funny are the teams that sold (jets/blues/preds) are actually in the mix and are playing great! Those teams have a better record after the break than Detroit! And we were “buyers” 😂😭
I’m not saying the Swedes are bad (ASP, Edvinsson, Razor, ect) but they’re too soft. Asp is too small, Ed is tall but won’t use his body, he borderline gets bullied out there sometimes. And razor is too soft as well. Can we please get us some Russians again? We need a zadorov, kaprizov, demidov, kucherov, malkin, ovechkin, ect. These Russians are hard workers, tough, and don’t give up.

That trip by Kane is the dumbest I've seen all year from this club. And there's a LOT to choose from.
Pain
"Hard to play against", "Physical", "Competitive"… these are the words the management always talks about. This team is the complete opposite of that. It's embarrassing that analysts, commentators and fans of other teams see and talk about the Red Wings bad compete. This team is playing like it's a preseason game in a non-contact league.

If the Wings were in the western conference with their current 88 points, they would be in 4th place- tied with the Oilers.
We are still the 11th best team in the league.
So, I am hesitant to say the team needs to start from scratch, fire Yzerman, etc. The east is just cutthroat.
