Wow, just Wow….
Making a coaching change this late isn’t an issue except for those teams that are in the playoff hunt. I guess it could be a Hail Mary attempt to wake up the team and to get them push harder but the Vegas firing is a head scratcher at best

Feel bad for Roy, but I like DeBoer and something had to change. At least DeBoer can see the roster for a few live games.

Knee jerk move by Darshe hoping for a Hail Mary to get back into the playoffs and it’s probably not gonna work. The isles problems are the “scorers not scoring, Rittich can’t stop a shot in the 2nd half of the season and the defense has been horrendous ! Darshe really hasn’t done anything except 2 bad trades, Soucy and Palat, Imo it was a ok move for Schenn. Darshe is gonna have a hard time in the offseason trying to get rid of players and get players.

as an Islander fan, thought they'd wait if the Isles made the playoffs in what do with Patrick. But watching this team over the past few weeks they looked like a team that needed to be blown up. Darche inherited Roy. but the then again Darche's picks up have been underwhelming and they haven't been the same since DeAngelo has been out of the lineup

As an Islander I'm very shocked, not at the firing, but the timing of it. Strange, and makes you wonder if there's something else going on behind the scenes to cause this, and not just the losing slide they've been on. And I have no problem with anything that Darche has done so far. I think he's been awesome
