Let's be honest here. The question of "who should come out of the lineup" is irrelevant. The second Leon comes back, Knob is going to revert back to his old ways. People who should be playing (Jones, Samanski) won't be, the bottom-6 will go back to being bodies to play whilst giving McDavid and Leon rest, and the second things get hairy, McDrai will be a regular occurrence.

The boys are like Rocky, just when you think theyāre done, they get back up. Letās hope they go the distance this year. Side note, Iām excited to see what the lineup will be next year, so many young bucks striving for their shot in the show.
This year the Oil seem to have taken the "Rope-a-Dope" methodology to another level (a very old reference for the younger crowd)

I'm cautiously optimistic on Nurse, however his track record is not good and has not worked with literally any player other than Murphy.
Franklin looks like he has the Blackhawk's logo for a head.
With this I really hope Knoblauch won't revert back to before once Drai comes back. Have faith and actually play the bottom lines more, instead of having Mcdavid and Drai do most of the work. I doubt Knoblauch will blend the lines anymore atp so I'm excited to see that chemistry forming. If we just keep this up even after Drai returns a third cup run isn't out of the picture!

The Oilers have a good problem right now with so many depth players ready & waiting in the wings for when Drai is back and playoffs start.
I do agree with you Samanski should stay in the roster but feel that given how well Henrique has been playing recently – that his veteran role should take precedence. There needs to be a certain level of respect to veteran players who've been battling with the team longer than the young prospects. It's just good management; you don't shut the door on an old cat – he's still family š (till the offseason)
They already gutted heart & soul from this team with the Skinner trade and Pickard's demotion (and forcing Perry out at the start of the year). Those guys will not have a chance to win a cup with this team any longer; so at least keep one of the few remaining core vets who was on the last run – raising silver will be all that much sweeter if this team goes the distance with him in the lineup.

I said for so long that Jones is awesome!!! Obviously Henrique should be the one out but it's gonna be Samanski or Jones unfortunately. If Henrique can play like he did the past couple of games I guess that would be fine but the question is if he can sustain his good play
The next five games – all against teams in the playoffs or on the cusp – will be against highly motivated opponents. That will be the real testā¦

Once Draisaitl comes back, unfortunately Iām going to have to sit McDavid, just to give him a rest from carrying this team on his shoulders for so long. Half serious since thatās never going to happen.
Oilers are really missing Drai, but the team has the best hockey without him in lineup. No more line juggling and hope they don't back to same old same old when Drai comes back.

Edmonton Journal guys had a good point about Henrique on their pod last nightā¦he is older and he isnāt the offensive player he used to be but he his one of those gritty old guys who can play hard and on the edge during the playoffs. Iād send Jones down. Keep Semanski and get him some time in the playoffs besides heās been solid.

Very big game tomorrow if we win I think it solidifies that we finish either 1st or 2nd in the division. If Vegas wins we still have a 1 point lead but with only 5 games remaining. I want the top spot not only to get the Pacific Banner but also get home ice for the first two rounds. Go Oil!

I want the 4th line to be Jones – Lazar – Frederic. Would be a beast of a 4th line built to forecheck, hit bodies, and cause chaos. That means Samanski and Rico sit out though.
