  1. I have been a Capitals fan for 35 years. I never anyone as large as Ovechkin, who was so fas and could hit that hard. Skated like on rails. Slapper from the office was a weapon. Force of nature.

  2. Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin's two goals against the Philadelphia Flyers during a regular season NHL game moved the Russian forward past Jaromir Jagr on the all-time list for goals scored in all major competitions. The calculation included both playoff appearances in major club leagues and games for his national teams.

The second goal in that game was the 40-year-old Ovechkin's 1,107th overall in all competitions. Czech veteran Jagr has one fewer, with 1,106. Legendary Canadian Wayne Gretzky is third with 1,098 goals, and Gordie Howe is fourth with 1,071.

  3. Flyers have never been able to recover since losing Pronger. He was one of the best players ever at calming down a game.

  4. I am totally jumping on the> way more Hockey content please and thank you!!
The stories alone are totally worth it!!
Plus, add it's just a beautiful, unique game!!!

  5. OVI missed almost 2 years of hockey, because of strikes, (2004) lockouts, (2012) and the covid nonsense (2020), he would have shattered the 1000 goal mark if allowed to play.
Hands down the Greatest goal scorer in the NHL ever, thanks GR8.

  6. Fighting allows players to police the game themselves. Referees can’t call/see everything, so players can settle the score, if necessary. Absolute, gentlemen’s rule. Some guys are selfish about it, others use it as a tool to help their team.
