  1. Is it skill or is it coordination? Remember when the Rangers built an "A" list of who's who many years ago and they had so much "talent" that the players were basically stepping on each other's toes and egos. And, the Rangers missed the playoffs that season, with the best players money could buy.

  2. What do you do with Justin Faulk? Gave up a first and some good stuff to get him. One year rental? Two year extension? Use him in a trade package for that center you need?

  3. They need high end talent…but you gotta give up something to get something. I remember when the Vancouver ask for Hughes came out…everyone thought the Wings were right not to give up as much as Minnesota did. You can’t have it both ways. You can’t say Yzerman was right to NOT go all in for Hughes and then say he needs to trade for high end talent. You’re not getting a Matthews / McDavid type player for cheap, and I’m willing to bet if he had traded say…Raymond and Edvinsson to Edmonton or Toronto…Stevie would get raked over the coals for giving up too much. They aren’t using the NHL’26 trade generator.

  4. I’m from Michigan and even lived in Waterford Township as a child, with that said, I didn’t like that Dylan Larkin was chosen for captain, he does not have the grit, plain, pure and simple!

The Captain aka Stevie Y, exemplified grit, one of the main ingredients of people from Detroit, like me, hahaha!

Seriously though, the player on this team that exemplifies grit is none other than Moritz Sieder!!!l

Yzerman isn’t the problem, Mclellan is the right coach, so what gives here?

This team has played exactly the way its leader on the ice plays, without a fire or sense of purpose, and of story, end of another season.

Make Mo captain and this team becomes energized without excuses!
    Peace,
    David ; D~
