Despite discussions about accountability, there's very little of it. People talk about 88 like he's the only player ice – a team that was designed around 34. Soon, everyone on this team will be gone, and a new scapegoat will be chosen. Wash, rinse, repeat.
If you wanna hurt their captain you start kneeing their top guys, gudas is an enforcer, heās nothing not worth going after him at all. Go after the skill but itās the leafs itāll be a fight with no punches thrown and thatāll be that.

I will accept nothing short of Joshua, Knies, Pizzetta, and McCabe each dropping the gloves with Gudas one shift after another.
Maybe Gudas looks at the Leafs and says, "Who's the toughest I will have to fight this year?" Instead of like Kyper mentioned, wait all summer and watch the Leafs get an actual tough guy that he will have to fight next season. It's probably best to take it now with a lighter group.
Kyper knows all too well about out for revenge after being injured. He wrote a whole book about it during the Pandemic. Interesting read on Bettman's cancel culture of revenge.

Nothing in the AHL, no draft picks, no prospects, no defense, an aging team getting worse by the week, and twelve teams in the east that are on the rise. You are back to the dark days of the 80's due to plain stupidity going back to 2019.

Comment on Pelley. Iāve worked in global organizations at different management levels my whole life. I agree with his comments on structure and alignment. What I donāt understand is how Pelley can say āthis is the biggest decision Iāll make at my tenure with MLSEā couldnāt answer the 1st question on āwhat is the plan going forward.ā But he seemed very unprepared and unprofessional by going out of his way to defend his own involvement with the ā I donāt decide who plays left wingā comment.

Bettman's big decision was to sell the soul of the game for gambling revenue. Essentially he decided that the league would thrive on the back of fans who would blow their family's food budget on losing bets on Fan Duel. And now he is paid nearly 10M per year. One might argue that this is and evil organism and that Bettman is the Devil.
