Last year was a fantastic year, but this year I’ve had a lot of Carp and Perch on the worm, Roach and Rudd on the maggot and the handful of Tench has been on pellet and wafter, very unusual from the start of my season.

The lakes I fish in Norfolk have been equally hard.
Fellow anglers agree, the volume of insect life has dramatically increased and as a result the Tench are preoccupied on those.
One carp angler had a Tench on a zig rig indicating the Tench are up in the water following the emerging flies to the surface.
Please tell me which test you use on your fishing rods.
What hooks would you recommend for catching tench on a float rod? Bait: a bunch of worms. Series and number🎉🤝👍
