  1. If Hughes wants to play in Montreal and will sign why not give him a chance. We can still trade him in the future if we want to. Plus he can start in laval and that would be great.

  2. Hughes will not sign with Montreal, he is better picking a poor team that gives him a better chance at a NHL position. Montreal is stacked.

  3. Guhle it was McDavid who said he is one of the toughest dman to play against and he has not even hit the prime years yet.

  4. Why not sign TJ Hughes and assign him to Laval, see how he works out and if we need him to play a role we can call on him. If it does not seem good for him or the Habs, maybe trade him.

  5. T.J. Hughes is man-boy playing with children…Everyone relax… Ability doesn't come with a name sticker on a jersey.

  6. I love to see the Habs becoming contenders ahead of schedule, but Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton need to be very careful not to let the fans and the media pressure them into making win-now moves. This is exactly what happened with the Leafs and the Rangers: a great rebuild showed results far earlier than expected, and we all know how that turned out for them

  7. All the fans thinking this Hughes guy at 24, is willing to sign an entry level contract just to play AHL hockey….. give your heads a shake!! He’s going to sign where he gets a sure spot on an NHL club!

  8. No space in Montreal. If he was 18 or 19 maybe but at 24 being a forward you want to be in a team where you will have the most chance to play and clearly there is no space for this in Montreal

  9. Josh i like your enthusiasm but we are not a cup contending team just ya. I would be very very happy if we made the conference final.

  10. I am really curious what was the big trade that almost happened…Damico seems to think we will have a 2c next year

  11. 👋 love the enthousiasm, ofc anything can happen=low %, but logically we aren't cup contenders. 🤷

  12. Why not bring Hughes in? He can play in Laval. Being great in NCAA doesn’t mean you will be good at the pro level. Give him time in Laval

  13. Love the optimism!!! But C'MON!?! There is NO way we're legit Cup contenders this year, with this D. Maybe if HuGo hadn't thrown away Romanov for Dach it might be different. But we ain't winning a Cup with the soft D we have right now.
