Dylan Larkin Rib Injury – Brayden Mcnabb Cross Check – Detroit Red Wings Vs Vegas Golden Knights – NHL 2026 Highlights
Hockey fans, we need to talk about what just happened in the Red Wings vs. Golden Knights game. Our captain, Dylan Larkin, had to leave the ice after a really scary incident involving Vegas defenseman Brayden McNabb, and the replay is tough to watch.
This all went down late in the third period during a crucial Detroit power play. Larkin was battling in front of the net, as he always does, when McNabb delivered a heavy cross-check right to his back. You could tell immediately that Larkin was in pain, and he headed straight to the locker room, leaving every Wings fan holding their breath.
For those new to hockey, a cross-check is when a player hits an opponent using the shaft of the stick held between both hands. It’s a dangerous move, especially from behind, and many fans are calling out the refs for what looked like a missed call on the play.
The good news? Larkin actually managed to return for the overtime session, showing just how tough he is. However, Coach Todd McLellan mentioned after the game that Dylan is definitely “sore” and is being evaluated by the training staff. We’re all hoping it’s nothing long-term, especially with the playoff race heating up.
What do you think? Should McNabb face a suspension for that hit, or was it just “playoff-style” hockey? Let’s discuss in the comments!

NHL has become disgusting. NHL should have fined him and suspended him.
