It actually bothers me when Schop talks hockey.
The interactions that the NHL calls hits are hilarious. Just compete like lunatics, have an adequate power play, and the chips fall where they may
Omg are we serious. Unless this team starts a line brawl every game people are still gonna bitch about the “grit”
I may be bias, but the Sabre's are not made up of any dirty or mean players. I believe Jarmo will slowly but surely change all that. For now, we got what we got. Certain teams are going to try to bully us. One of our big D-men, Sammy or Power should have stepped up for Norris, instead of Carrick. You can't expect the new guys to do all the fighting. Both Carrick and Stanley have already dropped them. Someone from the core should have taken on Lee. That's a bad look, a chink in the armor, imo.
I'm more worried about the scoring depth to be honest.
Hey look even if they get knocked off in the first round , they wouldn't have anything to be ashamed of. They need to be tougher and finish checks because a lot of teams use hits in order to wear people out or in some cases , hurt them , to slow them down . They need to find a way to incorporate aggressive defense and finish checks..
We don't have a Tom Wilson, Matthew Tkachuk, Sam Bennett, Claude Lemieux, Ulf Samuelsson, Marian Hossa, Dustin Byfuglien, Brad Marchand. Got to have at least two players like that to win the Cup.
