Hey Larkin scored a PPG but took another horrid penalty. This guy is not C material. Looking at the other playoff teams around them and I see a roster that is very far from even competitive for a series let alone win one.

It definitely doesnāt feel like HockeyTown anymore. And Larkin is from my Hometown Waterford, MI so I was really hoping he would do good things for this team and I went nuts when he got that C but he just doesnāt seem to deserve it anymore. Not that anyone else on the team really deserves it. I donāt see enough emotion even when they are down 0-3 in the first period I only seen a little bit of fight towards the end of the period. Itās like they only turn it on when itās already way too late. They cannot handle 5 on 5 hockey and thatās obviously huge. We went from one of the best teams in the NHL for a few decades, to one of the worst for the last decade and a half and it feels wrong.

Since the 2021-22 season the Detroit Red Wings have a 20-43-8 record and a pts% of .338 when playing in the month of March. For comparison, the last place Vancouver Canucks pts% is currently .342.
Any other time of the year the Wings are .557.
100% agree to remove "Hockeytown" from center ice. Detroit hasn't been hockeytown in along alongggg time and I don't see it getting any better in the near future. Might be TWO decades until we're a contender again š

I was at the game Saturday night vs Philly. The fans brought the enrgery, the fans show up , when will the coaches, GM and players show up and give us more than pitiful Bernard-Docker fight and a post game interview that looks like everyone is ready to cry ??
I completely agree and understand what you're saying but take this into consideration. How were the teams doing before the Olympic brake? I believe the extra 2 weeks gave some teams the appearance that they're overachieving.
The price they charge to watch the wings at LCA and not be a playoff team is a joke. I live out of state and couldnāt take my kids to their first wings game without spending $500 for ceiling seats.
Seider hasnāt played well since (and during) the Olympics. The team is soft (especially our ābigā guys). NO ONE wants to be the guy paying the price in front of the opponents goalie. They picked up the blind pass that Kane does and I canāt fucking stand; itās a bad habit they (and Kane) need to stop doing!
Make you watch all these games to just throw it away at the end. Thats called taking you for Another ride to setup failure.

Hockeytown is dead. I'll stay a fan because you can't switch teams as an adult, but I'll tell my 2 year old son to pick another team when he starts to love hockey. This franchise has absolutely gutted any passion this fanbase and it's only going to get worse. The morons who still have faith will pretend like Kasper, ASP, Danielson and Cossa are going to save us, when we all know they won't. Good luck to the new GM who has to clean up this mess. Gibson deserves some of the blame. At the beginning of the season, he looked lost…played horribly…but given some time, he found his groove…had a nice stretch where he was one of the best goalies in the league…now?…lately he hasn't been nearly as good…letting in some soft goals…the goalie sets the tone for the team. It hasn't been good enough. And the team isn't good enough to make up for that…terrible 5-on-5…mediocre on the power play. I don't know what else to say but if the team misses the playoffs this year…again…some big changes are needed. You can't roll out this same garbage again next yearš¤¦š»āāļø.

Copp and compher two of our main centers… 1 goal.each the last 19 games. They did this the last 2 years as well meanwhile we leave prospects in the minors who.are way better then them. Thats whats wrong with this team. Stop playing copp and compher they havent earned ice time. John leonard should be on the red wings. So should bransegg nygard. We dont play the beat players. We have 7 shitty grinders in the lineup and we won why we suck at scoring? A moron could recognize that
