So excited to see the Leafs show up when it's way too late and it doesn't matter anymore. I think the Leafs responded because they wanted to feel good about themselves, not because they were made of the right stuff

I think the ref crew allowed the 1st fight because they knew it needed to happen, they were obviously very concerned the game could erupt into a nightmare line brawl type thing. I suspect that's why they ejected Pezzetta, he had no interest in playing hockey he was only trying to escalate things.
I wish the red wings were in the pacific this just proves we would be in a playoff spot currently
BTW-Leo Carlson is one of those guys that likes the trainer to run across the ice and help him off the ice. He stays down enough that Ducks fans wonder how he will handle the first round physical games.

The PWHL rule ending a powerplay if you allow a shorthanded goal is a BAD rule, especially for a low scoring league. It was a bad rule when I first heard about it before the first game was played. Offence makes stars yet the PWHL thought it would be a good idea for their new league to take away scoring opportunities?
I'm glad the game went to OT. I DO NOT want Mo getting a GWG! I'm scared that might mean we won't eject his clown a$$ into the Sun during the offseason!!

Why they would win the game, I have no idea. Play well, compete. That's enough. Every game they win from now until the end of the season is shooting themselves in foot. They should pursue a single win the rest of the season. Hopefully we can get a top five pick, find a truly elite level general manager, and start turning things around as soon as possible. Pretty sure this version of the team has now bottomed out. Hopefully.

9:15 i feel like drawing conclusions from total penalty minutes like this person is doing paints an incomplete and/or inaccurate picture of events. in the case of the leafs-ducks game, removing 10 minute misconducts (which are administrative and don’t result in a power play) and fighting majors+offsetting roughing, the penalty minutes are 18-8. and while that’s not “balanced”, it’s perfectly in line with a game where the more penalized team was intentionally (and correctly) playing a rougher and more penalize-able game. leafs have absolutely been the victim of inconsistent and lopsided officiating decisions, but this game is not one such case

Steve I have always been a fan, but bro you lost me tonight. First of all, paros doesn't announce the games he goes to. I was the referee in chief in college hockey and I'm telling you right now that he wasn't at the leafs game for any other reason other than to communicate with the officials in person. You act like he isn't at games when things originally happen…bro how in earth would he know that something is going to happen, especially a leafs game. People act like the leafs not reacting to an opposing team physically is surprising. That's who they are. It's nothing new that they did nothing. Im blown away that someone like yourself who is deep in leafs hockey would act as if these players would be anything but cowards. Im not a fan of the leafs and I absolutely am not a fan of Matthews but listen, if gudas intent wad to HURT Matthews he wouldn't have used his knee. Again, why expect gudas to not play cheap. That's what he does. Isn't he the same guy that yelled in your netminder face last year after winning in overtime?? The leafs should have had him on the radar way before the Matthews incident. Yes the knee was an awful play or act on gudas part but again, why so shocked? I watch Toronto media as a life long hockey player and i hear a lot of people who have been lied to and duped by the used car salesman known as the Toronto MapleLeafs. The players that made that sweater a cherished icon of fans in Toronto, must be sick watching what this group has done to tarnish a beloved sweater. Im a life long hawks fan and i understand being a loyal fan to an original 6 club. Just realize that as much as people think the refs or the league are against the leafs, that is complete nonsense. The players in the ice are the criminals stealing fans money and that is completely where the downfall should be called out at the top of your lungs. God bless you and the leafs fans and keep up the great work you have been giving the fans for so many years Steve.
