The Anaheim Ducks and Toronto Maple Leafs delivered one of the most chaotic games of the season, with Radko Gudas at the center of it all as Toronto pushed for revenge. Despite goals from Leo Carlsson, Cutter Gauthier, and John Carlson, the Ducks couldn’t hold a 3–1 lead after a penalty-filled night that featured 22 penalties and 85 penalty minutes. Injuries to Cutter Gauthier and Leo Carlsson added to the concern, though Carlsson later returned, while Toronto capitalized on multiple power plays to claw back. William Nylander and the Maple Leafs completed the comeback in overtime, handing Anaheim a tough 5–4 loss. A wild, physical matchup filled with drama, controversy, and momentum swings—this one had everything, even if it felt like a bit of a circus. #nhl #anaheimducks #hockey #icehockey #anaheimducks #torontomapleleafs

Gudas took it like a man. He messed up but turned up to face the music. Earned back a little bit of the respect he lost for injuring the Leafs player.
No mention of "Michael Nylander"… I'm dissapointed
The Ducks have to get tougher no matter how you look at it. The closer it gets to playoffs the more intense these games get. Not to mention when the playoffs start EVERY game will be this intense if not more so.
Gudas took it like a captain. Good on the refs for calling it and controlling it as much as possible. Overall, there were a lot of questionable play from the Maple Leafs. But most were after the whistle stuff, or stuff on gudas. But at least they didn't target directly our skill players. They played them hard, but nothing I would consider blatant dirty. As for the game, felt like a playoff game. Then the Ducks went to prevent defense, took the foot off the pedal, and came in second. Hopefully they learn that they can't let teams back in it in the playoffs.
Man either the come out of the game sleeping then turn on the jets or they come out to play and give it away huh… They really need to stretch this out to 60 minutes bad. 3rd period was a real disappointment. Glad they managed to score late and get a point. But i was questioning my life choices a bit 3 minutes before the end of regulation xD
Next time the Ducks face Toronto I hope Ross Johnston beat the crap out of Domi. The
coward hits Gudas when he's on the ground.
We're is Ross Johnson when you need him!! I get taking your penance at first for the hit on Matthew's but im sorry after those cross checks on gudas when hes on the ice we needed to have a fight of our own. We are a soft team and maybe the argument people were having about the culture in Toronto needs to be had about this team.
the Leafs bullied the Ducks in their own barn… #LeafsForever
I only take solace in the fact that this fucks over the Leafs more than it does us. Man, they could really use a Fraser Minten type player right now
It should have been over after the first scrum. But the Leafs were just being extra special. Total DB move on their part.
As usual GKG.
I was at the game, and I kept thinking about what you would say in your review. Every time he was on the ice, I heard you say "Minty" in my head. I think you're a part of my hockey experience now.
I never thought I'd say it before this season. But goddammit I miss Ross. We really could have used him tonight. I never realized how big of a role he plays haha
The fact that the referees kept trying to play it as even as possible, even when we weren’t fighting, and it was all being initiated by the leafs is Just typical. Especially since all of them must’ve been just worried about their jobs with safety being in the audience.
Ratko is a total euro/trash scumbag.
The perfect captain for a WHA level town.
That was embarrassing. You don't let your captain take a pummeling just because he says, "I got this." What the Ducks looked like last night was a team full of millionaire veterans who are now carpool dads, and young guys who were totally unprepared for a physical hockey game. Remember when McTavish was supposed to be in the pipeline to be our next captain? Where was he last night? He's had a horrible season. How about show you're no longer a man child and stand up one of the guys throwing around your captain like a ragdoll and trying to break the ribs of your premier goal scorer. Lost a lot of respect for the boys last night. Sad.
beckett was benched for the turnover the neutral zone again
Defense NEEDS to get their stuff together, we're about to go into the playoffs and NEED them to clean it up. Stop falling asleep and having brain farts and turning the puck over.. And also gotta stop having to play catch up every game!
Offense… We're fine but can really do better. It's the defense.
ducks fans finally talking shit now that they make the playoffs for once. Only to lose in the first round ggs
Yup welcome to the show , the leafs cared after it didn't matter anymore
This stupid new generation of hockey fans is a joke. Revenge games with the norm for years; take out our top scorer we’ll takes yours. Now everyone is so offended and shocked. But 3 fights at the start of 4 Nations and everyone was all gaga…Smh
To lose both games this season vs this Leafs team after leading by 2 must be disappointing? I also heard that Troy Terry became the 1st player in NHL history To play 50 games in a season & not register a single hit which is a dizzying stat to own & reading the comments about how Anaheim struggle in the more physical games I'm seeing a trend. Fun game to watch though!
Berube should have been fined for comments about his players going after skilled players…terrible coach
Girls commentary just don't do it
This reminds me of the early 80 s leafs garbage hockey team fake toughness goon it up when u r at the bottom of the league This organization will be lucky to win another cup
We got.punked around all game. Sone of the vets needed to step up. Ross is missed right now
Leafs had to be angry after all the backlash from their base for showing no emotion last time. Felt kind of fake though. But they got the show they wanted and being down going into the 3rd is exactly where you want the Ducks because you know they aren't holding that lead. Time to move on.
Anyone else disappointed by our lack of physicality? We let them bully us and we can’t do that going into these higher risk games. I know we missing Ross, and both games versus the leafs would be entirely different if he was on the ice. But Trouba??? Basically non existent that game physically. Lacombes a big boy and proves he can use his body but like Gudas said he needs to “sack up” and not be so scared to hit. And Viel took stupid penalties instead of actually playing it smart.
But the refs were just jerking the leafs hogs all game so whatever doesn’t matter. Should’ve had double the penalty minutes not the bullshit misconducts.
Well im not completely satisfied
