A deep look into the the throwing action of the 2019 & 2022 PDC world championship runner up.
Michael “Bully Boy” Smith is a super fast and very rhythmic dart player with alot of experience for his age. He may dominate the sport one day.

My channel is exclusive to darts only content. I create my content as I simply love to play darts and want to help other dart players improve with my own channel.

All my video’s are based on how to play darts as well as advise on equipment and general darts setup with the aim to guide any new players in their darting journey as well as provide more experienced or even professional dart players with dart content to help improve.

I throw around an 80 average myself with my left hand due to in injury and dartitis in my right arm.

I may on occasion use footage from the Professional darts corporation (the P.D.C) as well as The British Darts organisation (The B.D.O). These are used under fair use legislation and all credit should be given the rightful creators.

  1. Great video. The only thing I wish you included was his throwing style difference from when he was on "new kids on the oche" the short tournament Phil Taylor hosted that had the likes of Michael Smith, Joe Cullen and Aaron Monk. You can definitely see how his throw has evolved over the years. Cheers!

  2. Michael is such a fantastic player but that foot movement on the last last dart must’ve cost him important legs. I still think he’s one of the most exciting players to watch when he’s in full flow and I’m sure he’ll pickup that first major. Fantastic analysis Daniel 👍🏻🎯

  3. Amazing throw but how does he aim? Is it just pure feel and repetition? Most players set the dart at the target then aim, example James wade. Smith is just one motion no setting the dart.

  4. Can you do Dimitri Van den Bergh as I find his throw is as smooth and consistent as RVB, when RVB was winning. Dimitri just needs to stay laser focused in clutch shots during the quarter/semi finals and he will make it to the top.

  5. Would love to see a video from you going over all the pro approved dartboards and giving advice to potential buyers. My guess you have played them all. Which are the top 5 you would purchase and why.
    Keep up the great work.

  6. Just come across the channel, looks really good. Can you do a Damon Heta throw. Such a lovely action, would be good to see you dissect it.

  7. Just wanted to say thank you for the great content. Started playing for the first time boxing day of last year, hit my first 180 a couple of days ago and well and truly have the bug now! I've been looking for a channel just like this, entertaining and informative…
Keep up the fantastic work 👍🏻

  8. As you know Dan I’ve copied his throw as it’s just an amazing throw but can I suggest you do one of Joe cullens soon? I don’t know how he does it but his throw is just amazing looks so effortless 🎯

  9. I throw similarly like him. only difference is my back swing is deeper than his due to my hands were weak in the past and I had to be sure my swing is strong enough.

  10. i don't think i've ever seen this mentioned in dart throwing instruction, but holding the dart with the knuckle or lower, rather than the tip, of your index finger seems very important. virtually every pro player, or at least those who are rear grippers, seems to do this with their index finder. i started consciously holding the dart like this after studying many pro players grips, and i find my accuracy/release is better for doing so

  11. Might sound stupid but the edges of the oche are they lined up with 11 and 6 just want to know roughy where Michael is lined up with
