Go Cardinals !!! 2 wins !! However…. Our bullpen has shown issues. Specifically Svanson. In game 1 he gave up 3 runs in that 6-run 6th inning. He only got 1 out. Then , for some reason, they let him be closing pitcher (in 9th) today ,and he gave up 4 earned runs. UGH ! I gotta say… The 2 big mistakes the Cardinals organization made …. [in my opinion] … 1st) Letting Brendon Donavon go in off-season. And 2nd) Letting Ryan Helsely go at trade deadline last yr.
JJ Werherholt gets a homer for his first hit and a walk off in his second game. What an absolute stud. Just clean up those fielding errors and we got a Bonafide all star in the making!
I know we are 2 games in but I really think this cardinals team is better than last seasons. I can see a world where if we improved the bullpen we could sneak into the playoffs
Nothing like bailing out the bullpen for another game. Another great stating pitching effort ruined by the bullpen. Thankfully, the offense is producing runs.
I know this could be fools gold but I love the fight in this group. Down 7 to 1 on Thursday and down 5 to 4 yesterday. But please oli let Riley O'Brien close

The team is fun but pulling a pitcher throwing a no-hitter is not.
Good thing about this team is they have no expectations so they can truly just have fun and work at getting better.
