I’m a goalie and have no dog in this fight. That’s not a major penalty. The rulebook states that it’s only a major if the contact was intentional or no effort was made to avoid contact. Nathan is making a play on the puck and trying to score as well as being angled out by Nurse and Nurse hit MacKinnon towards Ingram (The contact Nurse made with him made it impossible for MacKinnon to fully avoid contact). MacKinnon attempts to jump over/around to avoid contact. The rule states intentional contact or no attempt to avoid contact is a 5 minute penalty (neither of these apply). 2 minute penalty.
Ask yourself this: If Ingram had of gotten up and been fine, would it still have been a 5 and a misconduct? In my opinion, it wouldn’t have been 5 and so it should have been a minor. If this happened to my goalie, I would be fuming so I understand both sides but from an unbiased perspective, not the right call.
Edit: You can see Ingram lean forward as well making the contact worse (he’s also making a play on the puck) just thought I’d point out that there’s multiple faults here.

Wow what do you know another player hurt involving MacKinnon didnt he just knee Hintz leg out from under him and hurt him on the stars? Dude was going to be in the blue no matter what nurse didn't move him that much don't Avs fans call this dude a bull like he is strong hard to move? So I guess this time he decided to be a pony, the loser took the opportunity to hit the goalie.
On the same night Gallagher jumps to hit Cowan, who lost the puck last Halloween, gets 2 mins for interference. And only got that as an afterthought. The nhl refs are somehow getting worse.

Nurse's contact did push him towards the goalie. He was aggressive but angled away from the goalie until Nurses's contact.
