This is so amazing, but it warrants a simple question. "Why didn't they play this way in October, November, December, and even January?" I know folks will say injuries; however, many were blaming the goalies who were both healthy. Why can't this team start out of the gate playing this way? They didn't do that last season, the previous season, or even the Stanley Cup winning season. You know, rinse and repeat. Here's a fact: If the Blues ONLY played .500 hockey up to the Olympic break, they would be currently sitting in a playoff spot (81 points), sitting where Utah sits currently (with a game in hand).
Keep in mind if they didn’t go 2-11 in overtime they would be pretty much in a playoff spot. If Binnington could stop a beach ball for the first half of the year we’d be at 85+ pts
