I can tell ya – the idea of Buffalo giving up; Quinn(50pt player), Owen Power, Helanius (top prospect) and a first round draft pick for Robert Thomas would have been TOTALLY INSANE to give up – total over payment x2
Kesselring has been dealing with an injury – so there’s no reason to use him while he performs poorly because of his injury

There is no way the Blues would take Josh Norris, he’s always hurt and makes too much money. I would trade Power, Quinn and first rd pick for Thomas but no way I’d give up Helenius. If Buffalo wins a few playoff rounds or makes conference finals they will not make any major moves in the summer, if they lose first rd or look bad I bet they do try to pick up a high end top 6 player.

Leafs need a full rebuild. Trade both Woll, Stolarz and sign a UFA goalie for a 2 yr contract. Trade Matthews, Nylander, Carlo, McCabe and OEL. Fire Tre before you make these moves. The only guys l would bring back are Knies, Cowan, Robertson and Joshua. Everyone else is available.
Who knows maybe the Habs could place Sammy on waivers and the Oilers might pick him up, he could use a fresh start.
Hi Mike, first let me say thank you for your show! I watch it all the time.
Ok, Jarry. I'm a Pens fan so have watched him for years. We've seen the all-star Jarry and all the way to putting him on waivers Jarry. Goalies are different, period. Even our beloved Flower went through a period of time where he was horrible. It's definitely a mental thing with them. Jarry was placed down to Wilkes for a long time. The coaches, his attitude, and hard work all paid off and late last year he came up for the last 20 games or so. He was sharp, he was flying across the crease post to post, and would come out to challenge players! When Jarry is like that he's 100% on, and very good! Then this year started, in his 15-18 games or so, othrr than a couple hickups, he was on again. That equals about 30+ starts or so going back to last year. Then the trade happened……I don't know how Kyle Dubas fleeced the Oilers that bad, even a sharp Jarry. Jarry + a full-time AHLer for Skinner, Kulak, and a 2nd round pick in 2028 (McDavid may be gone by then and could be a very good pick) we flipped Kulak for Girard and a 2nd pick. So, it's turned out to be Jarry & Poulin for Skinner, Girard, 2-2nds and no salary retention…..unbelievable! We still may flip Skinner, if so for what?? A 2nd & 3rd?? Possibly. That would be Girard, 3-2nds, & 3rd round pick for Jarry +. Anyways, just thought to give you the details. I feel so sorry for McDavid 😢
Like I said 2 days ago bettman the weasel hates the leafs, and no one can say anything different.
The biggest problem in the Jarry – Skinner trade is not the performance. It the fact that Skinner would have been a UFA, if he didn't improve and they felt they could have let him walk in the off season. In Jarry, they have an unmovable contract that can't be bought out.
I don't understand the Union when it comes to these suspensions. The Union seems to represent the offender and not the victim when they protest the harshness of the penalty. With an 82 game season, these knee to knee hits should be MORE than 5 games.
Great Video, as usual, Mike. I am surprised that Bowman hasn't done more than he's done with The Edmonton Oilers, since he did so much Chicago, with The Chicago Blackhawks. Let me know what you think
