  1. Jack ain't never had no trainer he learned from having coney islands fights where 20 people be in the ring and the last one standing is the winner last one always standing is ,JACK

  2. Jack Johnson was so toned at this point! I think this is the best he has ever looked. I see why they called him the Galveston giant because back then the average height was about 5 ft 8 to 5 ft 9 he was slightly over 6 ft tall.

  3. It’s hilarious that people consider him one of the all time greats. He towered over most of his opponents and outweighed them by 2 or more weight classes. Most of his opponents would be super middleweights nowadays. To watch this and honestly think he could have beaten anyone pasts the 1940s, is just ignorance and emotion.

  4. Watching from Congo DR 🇨🇩🇨🇩🇨🇩. If like me Dave Chappelle brought you here, holla!! 😂

  5. Here at 8:12 you can tell he had well enough of the bullshit and decided to stop playing with his food. I mean, GOTDAMN this man was serving the most royal of ass-whoopings!!

  6. 0:38 for years the reels that were available did not show the knock down and people tried to say he didn't knock him down as i recall. but then it came out probably 15 or so years ago and they had to shut up. jack moves so fast, you cannot see any of what he did, just the result of burns going down. that was the message from johnson that he could go as long as he preferred

  7. they stopped the video purposely.. they didn't want to show a black man knocking out that white POS.. the next day riots broke out, and these demons started killing us… PUSSIES!!..

  8. Imagine if a guy was allowed to hold and clinch as soon as the other guy comes in on him and continously hold and do it the whole fight throughout the future until the 90s. Tyson would of lost to Jesse Ferguson by decision. Lewis would of lost to Henry Akiwande. Ali would be undefeated because every fight where he was rushed and he held he would of been allowed to continously hold and he would of beat Frazier and Norton both the first time. Primo Carnera would be considered an all time great also. Hes fighting Tommy Burns here. The smallesr man to ever hold the title at 5"7'. Imagine if he tried to push Tyson back like that after holding both him arms for 60 seconds? Or Frazier or Dempsey? It would be an absolute massacre
The fact is that in no other era would Jack Johnson be successful because the rules simply did not allow continuous constant clinching and holding after Johnsons era.
We also cant be sure if it was allowed before that either because every fight we have film of before Johnson, no one constantly held and held like this.
Jack Johnson is THE most overrated Heavyweight Champion in boxing history. He ducked every top black fighter during his era and instead fought white guys ans still held and held and held in every fight.
He also had 2 draws during his title reign. One against a light heavyweight and one against a heavyweight witb a record of 25 -10. He was also dropped and almost knocked out by a middleweight and his best win was against a guy who retired and hadn't fought or trained at all in 7 years who had lost 100 pounds in 3 months .
