  1. We're going to have to lock Tage Thomson in his hotel room. I really can't think of another player who seems to always get a goal when he's playing the Wings. Big boy too.

  2. 14:17 Next game needs to be won by the Wings. The game-in-hand over the Islanders is massive.

Since Philly is four points behind us, it doesn't matter when we win that game, it only matters that we win that game. Regulation, overtime, shootout, doesn't matter as long as the Wings win: even with the Flyers having a game-in-hand over us, as long as we win they can't use that to get into a tie with us.

Next game is about as close to a must-win as you can get without actually being a must-win.

Also, how about Kevin McGonigle? Kid looks like he's The Real Deal!

  3. Крылья – молодцы!
Хорошо, что не дрогнули во втором периоде.
Признаться, думал, что Клинки вернутся в игру.
    Но нет!
    Даёшь постсизн!
    Уже десять лет…

  4. "First goal in the first period for the first time in 8 games." God this team pisses me off so much.

  5. Good game, Det! Beating a hot team on a serious winning streak is how you get your confidence going! Got Philly next, let's go!!!!

  6. I fear this is just a tease before the wings let us down yet again this year and fail to make the playoffs.

  7. The team keeps too soft, the defense continues to be horrible, and we still lack a sniper.

  8. Still not confident that the Wings will make it to the playoffs. They're too inconsistent. Hoping they prove me wrong with the next 9-10 games left. I'm impressed with Justin Faulk so far and his aggressive style of play. He and Chiarot don't take crap from anybody on the opposing team while on the ice. I know Faulk was penalized after knocking a Buffalo player on his behind as he tried to rush from neutral ice into the Wings ozone, but I liked Faulk's aggressiveness when he did it. Many of the Wings barely check the opposing team on the ice and, as a result, the opposing team gets their confidence and ends up getting their licks and aggression on knocking Wings players either on the ice or into the boards. The Wings need to show that the bullies on the opposing team will face consequences when they play dirty hockey.

  9. Had they beat OTT and BUF things would be more optimistic.
Have a capable talent on defense, just the offense has no depth.
    Let it roll.

  10. 3 in the first, then absolutely nothing for 35 minutes. Buffalo just dominated us (except for Gibson). Going to have a stroke before seasons end.

  11. Sabres and fans act like a bunch of spoiled children when they get disciplined for slashing someones teeth out. Mommy is so mean to us, we didn't do anything

  12. Gibson is the biggest Reason the Wings are even in the Hunt. He's been playing borderline Vezina level hockey nearly all year.

  13. the amount of times the red wings have been high-sticked and blood was drawn but the refs choose to only call a 2 minute minor is absolutely absurd

  14. They needed this win so bad after the Sens L. They can still hang and if they make it, they could be playing Buffalo in r1 so this will give them some confidence. Been there done that.
