Florida trailed 2-0 going into the third before Matthew Tkachuk scored early. With Daniil Tarasov on the bench, Aaron Ekblad tied the score with 1:13 remaining. Only Joel Eriksson Ek won it with 4.4 seconds left on the clock.

Tarasov tied a career-high with 47 saves.

The Panthers play back-to-backs this weekend in New York starting Saturday afternoon against the Islanders.
