You have to realize that Marner is moving from an eastern canadian system to a western american system. He will be fine.
Actually Marner has been impressive in Vegas. Very much what was expected of him especially he has played center.
How kind of vegas management to play marner this way. They felt bad for leafs fans so made sure he wouldnt perform😂
Eichel saving it for the playoffs?
As a Vegas fan that has watched 90% of their games, Marner hasn’t looked comfortable all year. Dorofeyev is the only highlight of this year. Goaltending is the biggest issue tho
Marner is the player he is. You cannot expect him to be someone else. He plays like a short light player. Which he isn't. He is only slightly below average weight wise. When defence is tight on him he has trouble. The playoffs are that way. You can't have the ultimate success when you need lots of space in the playoffs. But time will tell if he can make it in the playoffs, but i do not expect he will.
As a Lightning fan…and living IN TAMPA, I can assure you the press isn't on the level as the press in NY or TOR. The Bucs are the talk here. The Bolts are 2nd shift. Like in TOR…the Blue Jays are 2nd in the press.
Bad take. VGK has been playing sloppy since 2023. The loss of the positional coaches they had during the Cup year really hurt them. They’re also older and may not believe in the message by Bruce Cassidy anymore. To make it worse, their defense is bad and leave their struggling goalies out to die.
It all begins with horrible office management as well.
Marner is a perfect fit for any team period

If marner finishs with just 79 points. That will be the 2nd most points in vegas history in a season. Only a couple of times has any player cracked 70 points. This isnt the leafs anymore where you stack all the best offensive players on one line and 1st powerplay. Saying marner is having a down year while having the second highest point total in the teams history, a team that has won a cup and has been to multiple finals is completely ignorant.

Hearing Marner is playing on his other side reminds me of how the Pittsburgh Penguins played Iginla when they got him. Bylsma was so clueless on how to utilize him.

Vegas sucks. Old. Slow. Over hyped by media and podcasters. Just forget about them.
Marner himself has been a good fit. VGK's problem this season has been inconsistent goaltending and defensive structure. Trading Whitecloud was a mistake, especially with Petro out for the season. And losing Karlsson, the team's most defensively responsible forward didn't help either.
