Florida Panthers coach Paul Maurice will coach in his 2,000th NHL game on Tuesday and reflects on that following Monday’s practice in Fort Lauderdale.
He also updates injuries to Niko Mikkola, Sam Reinhart, Brad Marchand, Uvis Balinskis, Anton Lundell, and Mackie Samoskevich.
The Panthers lost Mikkola to a left knee injury in the loss Friday in Calgary.
The Panthers went 1-3 on the four-game road trip and play host to the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday in Sunrise.

coaching tip to avoid injuries. Bring up all the minor league players that never have a chance to make the team. Rest everyone worthy anything. Now the injuries can bleed over to next year if surgeries are needed. Nothing to play for this year but pride. Maybe some beer league players. It seems a player goes down a game anyways. Give them a well deserved early vacation.
When is Barkov going to return ? I think he should start playing as soon as possible, he has been absent long enough.❤
