Oh boy 3am!
Even though we feel let down as fans in March, you guys make us feel better by sharing the collective misery. It is much easier to live in Albuquerque as a diehard redwing fan after 50 years than it was back in Michigan when this happens. Still wish I was there to celebrate together, though. Thanks for everything!
Wings have a tough time dealing with gritty teams that’s plain as day.
I don't understand people who talk of trading Larkin, so we trade him for what ? picks and prospects lol ? Wings need to add not subtract
Not a Detroit fan (Montreal) but never miss an episode. Felt physically sick after the Detroit game with my boys. Both Detroit goals were super fluky. Very fortunate win for Detroit. Hope both teams going to get in…and Boston doesn’t.
I don't think we will completely fumble the wildcard but when April gets here we will know if our 8 games will be enough to make it or not and how much we have to chase or hold off. I think it's gonna come down to the wire again unfortunately. It sucks the that alot of Detroit future what ifs are so ambiguous from front office tactics to goal scoring but this is a Detroit fans life rn. Cheering till the bitter end and always expecting the worst.
Season's over, i'm afraid. Even with Larkin coming back, this team is not very good honestly. The blue line is much better but forward depth is just nit up to par with other teams fighting with us.
Watching the game Saturday Mark Messier said larkin is a 2C, that what we need is a 1C, then we can go from there! 100% agree! Its on Yzerman to go find that 1C thats his job! Its possible with the draft capital and prospects (1 of those goalies for sure)this team lacking offense in a major way!!
This team just doesn’t score enough goals
I can’t blame the goalie when you only give up 3 goals
If you don’t score at least 3 goals ur probably not gonna win most games
I'm waiting for that one day when people stop talking about luck, attack, jerseys, defence, goalies, sun and moon and start saying that Yzerman has been bad at his job and would've been sacked everywhere but in Detroit. This nonsense doesn't work here in Europe and with our sports.
I am going to throw this out there I don’t know what VGK is going to do they look old and in need of a rebuild so how about putting together a package for Eichel ?
I almost bought tickets for WWP night… so glad I didn't. I was so angry and would have been even more angry if I had spent money to watch the game live.
To answer Ryan's question about "how many games? till Gibson has been 0.920 SV%?" November 29th onward.
If you got rid of everything before 11.21 he is at 0.919 SV% for what it's worth.
Disappointed with the results last game, but hopeful the Wings can squeak into the playoffs. There has to be some sort of move in the offseason to acquire more offensive talent!
RIP Minnesota Wild writer/reporter Jessi Pierce & her 3 children. I hope you guys can touch on her life & impact on Wednesday's episode. The hockey community lost a legend, she was loved by the Minnesota Hockey community & Minnesota Wild fans. My thoughts & condolences are with the Pierce Family, her friends, the Minnesota Hockey community, Minnesota Wild, Skor North, & many more. 💔💔💔
I have zero anxiety as this team/roster isn't a playoff team. Even if they make it in it's not gonna be pretty unless Gibson stands on his head. Something is just fundamentally wrong with that nucleus in that locker room that when March rolls around that it has to be in their head at this point.
Larkin uprooting himself/family is out of the question. It's not about finance/trade value. Steve has a heart. Unless! Dillon requires it.
Man that Faulk trade was a good one. Glad we "made a move" to do "something"
