Idk if I trust this management group to handle a Mathews or Nylander trade, because it is VERY, VERY IMPORTANT that they handle it properly. If those players are traded, they need to get the right assets back in order to build for now and the future..you CAN NOT trade them just because you feel pressured into it. If they blow it with those trades, it could set the team back even further for a lot longer 🤷
If Treliving, and sub par coaching and most players are in place in next season and not really a cleanup around the management team..maybe FIRE KEITH PELLEY, .. then I am convinced Rogers is in it for the $$
JMO, I think Matthews is breaking down right in front of our eyes. There will be a bidding war for Matthews, Nylander and Knies. If Leafs keep Matthews one more year his trade value will be minimal with one year left because teams will know Leafs can’t lose him for nothing so they’ll offer the minimum.
