I am 46 year old Sens fan and for the most of my life, with the exception of maybe Pat Quinn, the Leaf fans have always complained about crappy coaches and ownership/management. Honestly, it’s music to my ears but for someone as Sens fan during 2 distinctly disastrous eras 1992-1996 and 2018-2023 with the same bad coaching, ownership, and management, I do shed a tiny bit of sympathy for you guys. However, as Sens fans have had 2 dark eras the Leafa had only had 1…from 1968 – to be determined at later year.

Dark times. Hopefully it's just the darkness before the sun rises. In my perfect dream world somehow they can start to put in some decent pieces after the draft to spur a bit more growth and identity on this team, then by some Miracle when Jon Cooper's contract is up after 26/27 he makes his way to Toronto followed then by McDavid either via trade in that year or the following year through FA – though I teel like Edmonton won't let it get to FA with McDavid and lose him for nothing. A man can dream….heh.

I've said this before but I feel it needs repeating.
Brandon Carlo used to be a formidable force for Boston. He was an incredibly physical player who they put next to Zdeno Chara when he made his debut for the team, before McAvoy came in.
Brando started to get a lot of head injuries because of his play and it forced him to become less and less physical. The reason why he fell out of favor was because that physicality was not there, despite his immense size on the blueline.
With all of this in mind, I think it's unfair to ask him to be the one to stick up for the team he just joined last season, whose tenured players don't seem to care either.
Leafs fan here. I am happy the Sens won. These games mean nothing. Onto next season already.

If the Sens could get a .900 save percentage from Ullmark, they'd be a wagon. They're a top ten team in defensive and offensive metrics/stats, but damn their goaltending has sucked this year. Ullmark was good last night, but he still let in 2 goals on 14 shots.

Ottawa's Dennis Gilbert left the game hurt after a big hit late in the game by OEL. Not a single senator went after OEL after the hit or at any point in the rest of the game. Why didn't the media question them about it? What do you think Matthew Tkachuk is gonna say about it on his next podcast? Where is the Brady Tkachuk apology video?
