I’m not in panic mode. I’m de-agro at the moment. They’ll bounce back. Fowlers back! They need to learn to keep their heads up at all times. I also feel creativity is being drained on the pp. It’s the same thing-every time.
Our offence has been one of the best in the league this season, I don't see the necessity of bringing up Hage now, like I think it could be a good experience for him to play a few games but I don't see how he would meaningfully transform the Habs offence just by being there. Additionally, we already have way too many fowards and a lot of them play important roles on special teams which Hage might not be able to fill yet (like the pk).
A R shutdown Dman would be welcomed. Too many times are guys allowed to stand in front of net, only to be tied up rather than moved out. Felt the top line couldn't get in sync consistently but fun game to watch.
I hope you realize though that we’re way better than San Jose. We just happen to never beat them whether they’re good or even when they were really bad and dead last in the league, just one of those weird things.
Great add! About the next game: Gally in, Demidov out. Fowler in, but Dobes played well. As for D… my goodness can they not clear the net SOMETIMES to help their goalies. Back in the day, teams used to lament they needed to take away Carey's eyes, but guys like Weber and Charot were moving mountains so Carey could see what was coming… Hughes has got to go find some 'movers of men' on D if they want any chance of a long playoff run. Reinbacher will help but I think they need more on D, Ghule bouncing around, Carrier on the ice alot, Matheson about 50/50 – he has a pretty good style, but size sometimes works against even him. Guys like Dobson will need to use their size more in front of the net. Hage this year or next is great add either way.
