Sorry boys, but I don’t understand the Gudas/Leafs takes here. Even if you think Gudas is a guy that plays on the edge (I’d argue his rap sheet shows he’s a dirty player), sticking your knee out to intentionally bash another player’s knee almost always leads to the same conclusion, and a guy that has played the game that long knows that. It was a dirty play and probably should’ve garnered more from Player Safety (even though that department is a joke). Also, I’m not sure Matthews’ trade value has ever been lower in his entire career. He’s gone from the best goal scorer in the league to someone that can’t stay healthy and doesn’t put up the same points. Matthews is still an awesome player, but his trade value has only declined for the last couple of years, in my opinion. Mini rant over, thanks for pumping out consistently fun content!

Yea sorry, one of my favorite hockey podcasts but the Gudas take is one of your worst hockey takes ive heard you say. It was a lunging knee, there was no attempt to move, it was a clear attempt to injure. That on its own makes him a dirty player, let alone his insane record of suspensions and fines. He should have gotten 8-10 games easily

Die hard red wings fan here, and born in Toronto lol. I was heartbroken to say the least when Canada lost, i genuinely did not know how to respond. Big creds to the US they won that game, we did not give it to them in the slightest. The US made themselves more dominant then Canada in that game. The wings are so important to me, that I cant not smile seeing Larkin win gold, it really warms my heart.
