I was at the game Cole debuted in vs. Ottawa. He dominated. He only had 1 goal, but everytime he was on the ice, he created a great chance or played spectacular defense. He was probably the best player on either team, and he's still only a teenagar and in his first season. He's going to be the future of Washington along with Leonard, I. Protas, and Cristall.
As a Caps fan it’s exciting to have what feels like a future star defenseman (Hutson), winger (Leonard), and C (Protas) in the pipeline

Did you really just NOT mention Max Plante, the Red Wings 47th overall pick? He's a frontrunner for the Hobey Baker.
The Caps have a great track record of finding outside the 1st round gems – Cole Hutson, Ilya Protas, Andrew Cristall, Aliaksei Protas, Martin Fehervary just in the past few seasons. And Milton Gastrin looks like a steal in the 2nd round of last years draft as well.
Cole will be a better all around player
Lane will be the better flashy offensive defense player
overall i would rather build around cole but cant go wrong with either

And still one brother to come. That said they never play Hutson 5 on 6, but Washington did but had nothing to lose since they are way out of playoffs and that's where he got his first goal in game one lol.
Got to watch him play a couple weeks ago vs umass lowell dudes an absolute stud.
