The Anaheim Ducks gave up the first goal for the 43rd time this season, but once again showed their resilience, tying for 1st in the NHL with 22 comeback wins after a 4-1 victory over the Utah Mammoth. Lukas Dostal was a major difference-maker early, while Ryan Poehling’s shorthanded goal shifted momentum after a dominant Utah first period. Physicality picked up in the second with Jeffery Viel sparking the bench, and Mason McTavish’s return helped create the go-ahead goal finished by Alex Killorn. Despite going 0-for-5 on the power play, strong penalty killing and key plays from Jacob Trouba and Cutter Gauthier helped seal it, with Mikael Granlund adding insurance. Not the prettiest win, but an opportunistic performance as the Ducks continue to push toward the playoffs, with a potential Round 1 matchup against Utah looming. #nhl #hockey #anaheimducks #utahmammoth #icehockey

They showed some defensive grittiness that was missing early in the season. Need to keep that level up, especially with who's coming to town next.
Boy John Carlson does not look elite at all. His 1st game looked fine, not great but not bad, next couple games he looks almost bad many shifts.
Granlund looks like trash an MacT is younger, give him a chance to build something.
Dostal came through for us again 🤘🤘 great win for us last night. Let's see them beat the Sabres coming up
I’m back
Man THAT is the way to do it. Fight when the team needs to get going not get distracted by that when you are putting on pressure. This time it was done right and it paid off 😀 Only woke up for the second period so missed one, including Poehling's goal. I would like to highlight that i find him to be a very good selection and important piece of the puzzle of this entire team 🙂 McT will make his way back again as well! We know he can do it, and we won't be mad if he is just in a bit of a slumber mode but wakes up the beast come playoff time 😀 Let's go!
I'm a Utah native (still a ducks fan) so I was at the game and man was it fun! That fight with viel was so hype and the place was going nuts (even though they were cheering for Utah boo) and I was glad to be there to watch it and see dosty be dosty again! Hopefully if we play Utah in the playoffs I can make it down for a game cause it would be a good one that's for sure
Dostal did what he does, win us games.
Viel and Poehling have been great additions. just the type of gritty players the Ducks need. But they are missing Johnson. Hope he comes back sooner than later.
I don't want to see Utah in the first round. I don't want to see Utah in the second round. I don't want to see Utah in the third round.
I hate the fights. They disrupt the flow of the game too much. But it was much worse back in the 80's and 90's. Let's go Ducks,
Can we please get Lacombe off the PP
Vamos Patos! 🦆
John Carlson showing his value early. I was skeptical bc his age but seeing what hes offering immediately, i see why the Ducks wanted him. Makes sense to me now. Especially having him paired with Mintychov.
I believe in this Ducks team. I think a lot of the goals scored against are just part and parcel of the team's aggressive philosophy. Part of what makes them such blockbuster entertainment is what also leaves few people on the back end to defend when a puck bounces the "wrong" way.
A lot of the fanbases havent been paying attention much to Anaheim though. Us fans know no lead against us is safe. Not every team can say that.
Does anyone know why Cutter was placed on the 3rd line for this game?
Great energy in the arena last night! I had a blast.
Getting used to the same game on repeat. Ducks give up first goal within 1 to 4 minutes, build bigger whole, then claw their way back in it. Twilight zone stuff.
