I would wonder if Schaefer not only raises the expectations of the organization for the young guys but they also raise the expectations of themselves to contribute more quickly. Mayfield has 4 more years after this one so I think it too soon to put him out to pasture. Maybe more on the trade block.
I can see aitchenson needing a full season but after that I think pelech likely goes on the trade block, I’m actually ok with Deangelo getting an extension and would like to see aitchenson paired with him over mayfield
