I'm not a Pittsburgh guy but man do I like that the city keeps all their teams in black and yellow. The Penguins have flashes of brilliance this year, but I think the final will be between ANA or COL v BUF or CAR.
Being in the crowd at Ball Arena in Denver was such a thrill to see the Pens dominate the Avs and also to be there with a great amount of Pens fans. It felt as if the game was in Pittsburgh. Pens fans took over the chats and the Avs fans could not compete with the chats of Let’s Go Pens!
U are DELUSIONAL HATERS when it comes to Arty Silovs yeah he should have just stopped an uncontested slot shot from NATE MACKINNON and a nasty deflection from Brent Burns. If healthy I believe this team can win 1 or 2 or 3 playoff series and make the Stanley Cup Finals. This team has so many parts and depth. This team has a feeling about it. EK65 ripping it up and throwback GENO MACHINO destroyed the Avs. What a fun game. Wow.
I can see 8-9 teams really look at Mantha if he gets to July 1st. I can also see it coming down to maybe 3 teams, who…2nd line scoring depth or something like that. You KNOW, after not playing a full season since when?? About 8-9 years ago and not just that he's always hurt, it wasn't just his ACL last year. The fact he's stayed healthy this year is a huge surprise!!! We would be ridiculous to sign him for more than 2 years, so we won't get him because annother team will offer 3 or even 4 and he wants that like a dog on a bone!!! Silovs played great? Only reason the pens left the first with a lead. Strange take to call out 2 goals he allowed but ignore the fact that he made like 5 saves that should have been goals.
A big reason why the East is so competitive and is going to take a lot of points just to get in is because the Pacific is embarrassingly bad … like NFC South bad. I mean the Ottawa Senators are currently 10th in the East, and they would be winning the Pacific Division if they were in it.
And really … once you get passed the Avs, Stars and Wild … the Central isn't all that either. Another way to look at it … the Capitals and Flyers … who already have their April tee times reserved … would be making the playoffs comfortably if they were in the west.

That one stick check Solov had literally on a 3on 1 honestly made a huge difference in this game too. Very underrated moment in the game that play defensively was FANTASTIC if he misses that tho it’s literally a brief 3-0 rush. Lol
I don’t even care who we play anymore for the rest of the season it seems like we play even better against great teams anyways and we’ve done it time after time all season long! BTW I absolutely LOVE Clifton sticking up for Geno we’ve had Sid and Geno get pushed around for years with little to no pushback but we finally have players who can fight when it’s NEEDED key word being NEEDED I’ve been asking for that for a very long time and I think we finally have that now!🔥💯🙏🏽
Personally I thought Silovs was outstanding. The 2 he did give up there’s literally nothing you can do. Perfect shot by McKinnon and the Tip by Burns was absolutely disgusting. Lol
What a great win for the Pens !! They’re starting to prove that they’re not to be taken lightly. It’s hard to know how good our team is yet, but they should still make the playoffs. And then Sid will be back before too long. 👍💪
Last comment. When Geno was on the bench he just had that “look”👀 in his eyes he was locked in lazer focused. Sometimes you just can tell when he’s about to pop off. BTW he’s 24th on the ALL time points list with nearly 1400 now. He just passed Luc Robitalle on the list!

We're already better than last years team in points and wins, Dan Muse better win the Jack Addams if we make it back in the 'yoffs. Dubas also better get a STERN look at the GMotY with all his first-year pens scoring being #1 in the league of all 1st year players for their 'new' team by double digits, actually unreal. Also W puppers, just as excited as we are.

I honestly have not liked solovyev’s play the last 3-5 games. He’s been very sloppy, other than his lucky stick check on the 3 on 1 last night. He needs to be a healthy scratch when we have a full available defense. Or at the least a bottom pair guy with very minimal minutes.
Also, I wonder if Koivunen would be better replaced by Rutger? Why isn’t Rutger getting a chance instead of Koivunen? I think he’s played much better than Koivunen in our lineup this season. Unless Rutger is hurt or something?
Lizotte is out for 4 weeks I heard earlier on today. Also dubas confirmed he will sign Malkin again.

I did not see this coming. I was hoping they could get 1 pt out of this game. It was a blowout. Dont get me wrong, colorado didn't play their best game and it wouldnt surprise me if they return the favor in the next meeting. I dont think the pens need to call any one up. Once sid returns, the top 9 will go back to normal and soderblom is more then capable of filling in on the 4th line. I've liked his game soo far, especially last night. He's definitely a mountain of a man and if he learns to use that frame for physicality, he could become a weapon for the pens
The pens of the past few years would have taken the foot off the gas and tried to survive til the end. This year they don’t do that nearly as much.
