  1. I like how Schenn rubbed out some guys along the boards, we need his physical play. I can live with his lack of speed and play making ability.

  2. When healthy the third pair is Metsa and Kesselring. They’re just playing the new guys to give their top for maintenance and rest and rotate guys out.

    No one they have makes me more nervous than 25 defending netfront. But, they’re bound and determined on it.

  3. I think where Carrick just dropped right in like he belonged here all along, Stanley and Schenn are being used to build some team chemistry with them before the playoffs; in other words, I think Ruff is team-building with the little bit of time there is, since the Sabres play such an active and aggressive style (at least 5-on-5…..I screamed at them to stop trying to be pretty models and shoot the effing puck during a PP against the Leafs)
