Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin are back with a full recap of a busy weekend for the Edmonton Oilers, who finished the stretch with a 1-0-1 record.

The weekend began with a frustrating 3–2 overtime loss to the St. Louis Blues. Edmonton held a 2–0 lead heading into the third period but couldn’t close things out, ultimately surrendering the tying goal and falling in overtime.

However, the Oilers bounced back in a big way on Sunday night with a 3–1 win over the Nashville Predators at Rogers Place. Edmonton played one of their stronger defensive games of the season, continuing what looks like a positive trend on the defensive side of the puck.

One of the big storylines from the weekend was Matt Savoie making the most of his opportunity on the first line, scoring a goal and continuing to impress in an expanded role. The guys will also discuss a concerning moment from Sunday’s game when Leon Draisaitl left in the first period and did not return.
