Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin are back with a full recap of a busy weekend for the Edmonton Oilers, who finished the stretch with a 1-0-1 record.
The weekend began with a frustrating 3–2 overtime loss to the St. Louis Blues. Edmonton held a 2–0 lead heading into the third period but couldn’t close things out, ultimately surrendering the tying goal and falling in overtime.
However, the Oilers bounced back in a big way on Sunday night with a 3–1 win over the Nashville Predators at Rogers Place. Edmonton played one of their stronger defensive games of the season, continuing what looks like a positive trend on the defensive side of the puck.
One of the big storylines from the weekend was Matt Savoie making the most of his opportunity on the first line, scoring a goal and continuing to impress in an expanded role. The guys will also discuss a concerning moment from Sunday’s game when Leon Draisaitl left in the first period and did not return. Is this something Oilers fans should be worried about heading into the stretch run?
Later in the show, NHL insider David Pagnotta joins the guys to talk about the latest rumors around the league and provide any updates regarding Draisaitl’s injury status. They’ll also dive into another big storyline surrounding the team, as head coach Kris Knoblauch has named Connor Ingram the Oilers’ number one goaltender.
To wrap things up, Tyler and Liam will go through what’s trending around the sports world and hand out their daily betting picks courtesy of Bet365.

Concerning 4 games within your own devision: No need to reorganize the divisions:
– 2 games complete league = 62
– 1 extra game conference = 15
– 1 extra game division = 7
84 games in total
Heres the thing. 3-2-1-0 is ABSOLUTELY needed, at bare minimum, if we keep the loser point. Problem is if we are growing the sport, it would turn a lot of newbies off if the first thing we have to teach them about our sport is how the standings work. Diehards wont care, but im telling you, its an eyesore to look at.
Replicate the NFL, eight 4 team divisions.
Montreal, ottawa, toronto, buffalo
Boston, rangers, isles, devils
Tampa, florida, carolina, washington
Pitt, philly, columbus, detroit
Chicago, st louis, winnipeg, minny
Nashville, dallas, utah, colorado
Calgary, edmonton, vancouver, seattle
San jose, anaheim, LA, vegas
4 division winners are top 4 seeds, next 4 wild cards. Also solves the 1 vs 8 issue.
Play your division 6 times = 18
Play other teams in conference 4 times = 48 games
Play the other teams conference once each year, rotating home games = 16
18+48+16=82
Now that its 84 ill let them figure that out, maybe 2 more out of conference games, on rotation.
1:57. Ice cube still raps.
Looking at the barn burner thumbnail as i watch this, Calgary got screwed😂
Boringidea
nhl wont change shit. they are happy with their ability to manipulate wins and loses so that american teams win the cup
What if instead of the 3-2-1 system, you can't get an extra point going in to OT against divisional teams? Then you're not creating extra points in your division and making those games worth more
Tons of people use whatsapp, we use it for work too
Nhl gives us the WCH but won't let us host the ASG lol
In case everyone is concerned about Leon Draistail he's going to be fine and looking forward to playing soon ❤
