March 8, 2026: New York Islanders forward Bo Horvat has been fined $2,500 for unsportsmanlike conduct after flicking the helmet of San Jose Sharks forward William Eklund while he was on the bench. Mat Barzal avoided any penalty, fine, or disciplinary action for a headshot on Macklin Celebrini in the same game.

This commentator is a tool barzal is not even looking and celebrini has his head down. Nothing intentional or dirty stupid Homer commentators
Incidental contact
What a HOMER…Celebrjni runs his face into Barzal’s shoulder.
Couldn’t be clearer than that.
The NHL is a complete joke for not disciplining Barzal. They idly stood by and let cheap headshots end the careers of skilled stars like Paul Kariya and Marc Savard and Sidney Crosby lost a couple of seasons due to concussions. Obviously the League doesn't care about its stars. Nobody outside of Long Island could care less about Matt Barzal, but fans across the NHL and especially Canada after the Olympics knows who Celebrini is. IMHO since the NHL won't do anything, someone should show the Sharks what happened to the Leafs Pat Quinn when he knocked out Bobby Orr. It was vigilante justice at its best and even the fans got to take part. Let's just say Quinn never hit Orr like that again! Lol.
