If you watch the view from behind the net, you lose sight of the puck. Swayman is a good goalie. Gotta disagree with you breakdown
It’s not just his vision, he’s playing way too deep in the net. If he was a foot or 2 above the crease on that long shot he would’ve stopped it. No one was in their end so he could’ve easily been out further. Call if for what it was, a shitty game for him.

He can be a elite goaltender but he is not consistent enough and maybe that's got a lot to do with the poor defense we have at times

Blame goal tending all you want but given the much vaunted defense of the USA roaster I think you need to look a little deeper.
Denmarks goaltending wasnt very good either and they held the USA off till the 3rd period. If any team plays as poor as the Americans did today against Canada they are going to get the wheels beat off them.

From what I saw in that game and that 2nd goal from center ice it did seem to hit a US player on the leg which made the puck change course.

To be fair to Swayman on the second goal, it looked like there was a bit of Magnus Effect that caused the puck to turn to his right just enough. I say this because I play goalie and have seen shots like that from centre ice…really cool visual effect lol
But Swayman was playing pretty deep in his net for the third goal though…he was shaken up then.
