Penguins Postgame: Character and a coaching difference in gritty win

  1. Great recap as usual. I thought all was lost by the end of the first and most of the second. Was there something wrong with the ice??? The amount of times the puck just suddenly stopped. Great comeback!

  2. Hi dan love your channel. Nice effort out there. But i see some glaring old habits pop up lately. When defensemans play pattie cake out there without even pondering a shot on goal or even look at the net or each other. Its like they get paid per pass.

  3. I think the turnovers stem from GENO & SID being out of the lineup – with a huge portion of the offense unavailable – these guys think they have to make up for it … which they can't do the things Sid & Geno do – they don't have the skill as those guys . Once THEY come back – the lines will return back to normal & these guys who have been trying to strive for offense but not doing as well & giving up odd man situations – will return to their original roles & we'll get the great team we've watched all year BACKK

it'll be a breath of fresh air getting back to all 4 lines as normal – except for Brazzers being out – I'm thinkin Ville & Avery go back down & Elmer takes Brazzers spot with Ben & Mo on the 3rd line
Everything will balance out when that happens 👍
maybe Elmer goes down & Ville stays … it’s a coin toss

  4. Gritty win. Its going to be tough to manage a 10-6 record from here to the end of the season, but that will definitely get us in to the playoffs. Its possible we could squeak in even going 8-8 but i dont wanna chance it.🤣 We have to get BOTH 87 &71 back for this to be possible. We also need St Ivany and Girard and Brazeau back and ready to go, whether they play or not. Once we're in, skys the limit. Have a hard time beating Dallas or Colorado, but other than that, once in da playoffs, i feel good…unless we get the Islanders first🤣 and im betting we do. Sheesh, can a guy relax a minute?

  5. Not to be negative but if the penguins would have lost 4-3. This video would have been the exact opposite. Pretty much it’s over for the pens all the other teams won everyone but skinner and Karralson were bad and they just don’t have it. Again they will be losing more games and they are not going to play well/consistant in many segments of the games especially with 4 staters out. Look at all the errors Utah made all I am saying is the team has done a great job to stay in it and deserve a lot of credit even when they lose. Especially when they lose. They have been in every game with the exception of Vegas game. I give them an A since coming back from the Olympics

Long way to go and there will be tough, ugly games left. I will take them all considering again where we thought we would be. Thanks for your videos lots of good info but let’s not be a big downer when they do lose. Its going to happen. Its in all honestly playoff hockey from this point forward.

We get healthy and stay healthy I like are chances.
    Let’s Go pens.

  6. The first goal looked pretty bad and it had me worried, but Skinner ended up playing well again.

  7. Really looked like they were trying to make the perfect play early on. When they started shooting the puck good things happened

  8. I need Koivunen to stop getting knocked off the puck every 2 seconds. He also plays entirely too slow for someone who is a good enough skater.

  9. Muse better start fining them $100 for every stupid- inexplicably STUPID pass to the other team. God Bless Rusty but he had 4 consecutive tape to tape turnovers in one shift early on. They all fall into long stretches of it and it will cost them the playoffs.

  10. It seems like the Lizotte line has become the de facto third line. At times, the Kindel line looked like boys trying to do a man’s job out there. Muse was spot on to pull them frequently in the third period particularly on defensive zone face offs.

  11. Dan, great show overall. Like to hear your top 5 favorite arenas to catch an away Pens game. Was in Carolina last week and caught the bug to attend more away games next season.
By the way, you could see the Vegas loss coming in Carolina. I agree they really aren’t playing well but have gotten lucky and showed good grit. Letang is off his game and playing with frustration that was clearly visible in Raleigh.
