The Dallas Stars coughed up a 2-0 lead in the third period, but mustered up a dramatic overtime winning goal from Thomas Harley to beat the Detroit Red Wings 3-2 and tie the franchise record point streak (15 games). The Stars utterly dominated the first 40 minutes and opened up a 2-0 lead on goals by Wyatt Johnston and Michael Bunting, which was his first goal as a Stars. The Red Wings rallied with two third period goals from Simon Edvinsson and Lucas Raymond to force bonus hockey. The Stars have not lost a game in regulation since January 22nd at Columbus and their current 15-game point streak (14-0-1) ties the record set by the 1998-99 team that went on to capture the 1999 Stanley Cup. 'He stops it when it get to 2.'… he's a averageed closer to 3 goals a game all season until these last few. And he's looked mentally fragile in those games where he blows these leads… this game too. Was saying in OT that Wings should just throw it on net, because Jake was all too willing to fold tent and go to the locker room like he has so often in other OT losses.
There is an argument, that Dallas in the 23/24 season make the finals if they don’t have the go through Colorado and vegas meanwhile Edmonton have Vancouver and the kings… a little unfair to have to play 3 conference finals matchups.
