GET TO KNOW THE NEWEST JET ISAK ROSÉN | GROUND CONTROL PODCAST
Jamie Thomas sits down with one of the newest Jets, Isak Rosén, after the Jets acquired him from Buffalo. JT and Isak discuss being traded, Swedish meatballs, Scandinavian rivalries and more!
The jersey number 27 has a little bit of an NHL and "Sports Entertainment" historic connection to The 'Peg. Winnipeg born NHL player Ted Irvine wore 27 for the Kings, Rangers and Blues. Ted never won a Stanley Cup or been inducted into the NHL HoF, his kid Christopher Irvine is more famous than he was, you probably know him better as Chris Jericho. Chris often wears NHL Jerseys with the number 27 to honour his dad in wrestling appearances and when he's onstage with his metal band Fozzy. Chris even has a street named for him, Chris Jericho Way, in the Tuxedo neighbourhood of Winnipeg where he grew up. Chris wanted to be a professional hockey player as a kid and his favourite team was the WHA Jets, he said he'd have worn 27 too.
Really appreciate this interview, and I'm totally impressed with how Isak has fit right in with the Jets, even getting his first goal last night! Love his speed and he seems to know intuitively where to station himself on the ice for optimal shooting opportunities.
Welcome to Winnipeg, Isak!! Looking forward to seeing you in action in the upcoming games this season!

I already have the "Henrik Lundqvist shampoo commercial" typed into my search bar to watch after the interview.
I’ve met this guy back in Rochester I’m literally crying watching this

It didn't escape me that the Topic of Eric Comrie did not come up again in spite of Jamie's promises.
This kid deserves a top 6 shot rn. Makes no sense having him on the 3L imo.
