An injured Yaroslav Askarov has resulted in the Sharks being forced to make a roster move, calling up Laurent Brossoit. While trying to make a major push for the playoffs, this move has some serious implications. I’m Rachel Greenstein breaking it down.

If Nedeljkovic went down right now we'd be screwed. Just relax a little , if we make playoffs amazing if we dont its not the end of the world. The future is Teal. This year is a Colorado , Tampa kind of finals. We just need to drop a few of the older guys and bring some young guys in . Even if that costs us this years playoff run its needed for the future
Why the constant nagging about Klingberg? He’s strong offensively and needs to play with the talented players to set them up.
Bro every game Ned's won if we had asky in there we would have lost
Calling up Chernyshov will not effect Regenda as Regenda plays bottom six while Chernyshov plays top nine. Two different players who would be inserted into different places in the lineup.
Regenda should not get waived because it would expose him and he most likely will be picked up by another team.
Brossoit is turning out to be an important in season addition for the organization showing GMMG has some very good foresight to ensure depth throughout.
With multiple injuries on the Cuda at wing and earlier at center and at goal with the Sharks now and other positions previously that depth has been tested.
Good to see Eklund got off the schnide (spelt wrong I am sure). I would like to see Chernyshov get some games.
Yo you didnt have to say 1993 like THAT lmaooo
whats you name anyways?
Askarov is listed as Day-to-Day.
So he could be back at any point.
Brossoit is a competent backup.
We got him for if either Asky or Ned was hurt.
Chances are Ned plays in Montreal.
Then either Asky is back or Brossoit gets a game.
Brossoit has been on fire in the AHL this season.
And he has decent NHL numbers, .911 save percentage and 2.40 GAA over 140 NHL games.
We're fine if he has to play some games for us.
Again though Asky is Day-to-Day, so could be back before the Montreal game.
We're passed the trade deadline, so as long as you're cap compliant, there are no roster size limits.
Agreed. Get Klingberg out of our roster
I wonder what Grier is going to do with all of the forwards we have. He just signed Dellandrea to a 2year deal. I think he will trade some of the young forwards for a good defenseman. I’d hate to see them go but we need D help
Askorov has been complete garbage! He was great in November, but has not played like an NHL goalie since! He has a sub .870 GOA since November. This injury may allow the Sharks to make the playoffs, because with Askorov we have no chance!
Is it possible Ragenda has a minor injury?
Can I suggest something? You shouldn’t freestyle these videos. Stick with a script and give us the information needed and keep your opinion to a minimum. Good job and stick with it. Just my opinion…
Better for sharks to not make the playoffs and tank the rest of the year. We desperately need D, only having 1, maybe 2 top-4 D long term. This years draft is stacked with a ton of great d-men projected to go in the top 10-12. If sharks finished 8-9th worst in the league and they paired that pick with Edmontons 1st rd pick, we would draft 6-8, and get a great D-man.
Another banger video. The future is TEAL!!! 🦈🦈🦈
