Tyler Yaremchuk is riding solo on today’s episode of Oilersnation Everyday, and there’s plenty to break down after a brutal night for the Edmonton Oilers.
The Oilers were handed a 7–2 loss by the Dallas Stars in a game that got away from them almost immediately. Edmonton found themselves trailing just 90 seconds into the game and never really recovered. It was a tough night all around, highlighted by a rough outing for Tristan Jarry, who stayed in the game and allowed seven goals on 27 shots for a .741 save percentage.
Tyler will break down everything that went wrong for the Oilers, including Jarry’s performance and some rarely seen emotion from captain Connor McDavid, who lost his cool late in the second period and got into it with a few Stars players.
Later in the show, Tyler is joined by Jeff Marek to break down the game and take a look at the playoff race in the Western Conference as teams start to jockey for position down the stretch run of the NHL season. The Oilers don’t get much time to dwell on the loss either, as they’re right back in action tonight on the second half of a back-to-back against the St. Louis Blues. Tyler will preview the matchup and discuss what Edmonton needs to do to bounce back.
