Hahahaha
Who the hell is Elmer Soderblom? Who cares? The Pens don't need him. Ridiculous move. He's a 6th round pick.
Really enjoyed this video ππ
I don't like it. I think Yzerman gave up on him too soon but honestly…. He turned a 5th round pick into a 3rd. Is that a win considering the possibility that Soderblom never becomes much…. Of anything? Maybe. I just like the flashes he's shown. I still believe in him as a player.
Bro called it with Faulk
Making room for MBN or Danielson?
Hate this trade

Go Wings
Soderblom was a 6th round pick that hasn't developed into a regular 4th line player after 6 years which means he probably won't. Turning that long shot 6th round draft into a 3rd round pick looks like a good trade to me. Only time will tell based on who the pick turns out to be. Personally I like the Yzerman is doing this slowly and mainly through drafts and developing their own players. It takes longer, but alos has the potential to give longer term ongoing success instead of just having one or two good years. Look at the Leafs situation of going all in every year. The had no draft picks, no prospects and few valuable players on their roster and they are in last place and looking worse almost every game. Remember what Ken Holland did to the team. Sure they made the playoffs every year, but at the end the roster was a disaster, many contracts were terrible, there were not prospects and the team sucked and left a mess that was going to take years to fix. Personally I think the Wings are making good progress especially since the draft lotteries didn't work out for them. I don't like giving up the first round pick for Falk. Time will tell how that works out.
