While it’s disappointing Risto wasn’t moved, I don’t think it’s a blemish on Briere’s tenure. Who would fill the void for Risto if he gets shipped out?
Unless they traded him for a decent prospect or two, does anyone really trust them with their draft picking anyway? It would’ve been a late first that they would’ve botched anyway. It’s been about three years for Briere and company and there is no end in sight for this misery. I would trust Bill and Charlie to get them out of this way more than who is in charge here.

This leadership group is starting to lose my support. Not sure if they even have a plan. I’m convinced that you can’t both rebuild and try to make the playoffs at the same time. They should have torn it all down and focused on rebuilding the farm system. If you do that then you’ll have the assets to make the trades you might need to in the future. We have nothing in the pipeline to be excited about outside of Martone. They should have came out of the trade deadline with at least 2 more firsts or at least a first and a second. The fact that Risto and Tippett are still in the roster is failure of the front office.

All you do is complain about are GM. Bottom line is are Captain needs to go and just bring the young guys up and let them play. That's what should happen the young centers and let them build chemistry with Michkov
He can trade him this summer, next trade deadline or maybe keep him for the playoffs next year. To quote Torts last year and Lil Danny this, as soon as you trade Risto you’re looking for another Risto. We may have just got his replacement but we don’t know if or when he’ll be ready.
