The Canucks should not make any kind of "push" for him.
They should make a mid tier offer and see how it goes.
They can keep him.
What would Wright bring to the Habs? Big physical play? Great faceoff numbers? Non? Non, merci
wright to the blues ,and laine as well in a separate move..
Absolutely not! Hate him, his personality, cocky intitled brat during his draft years. I wouldn't be surprised if his teammates hate the guy for these exact reasons.. why else would he be available so soon
Shane Wright will ALWAYS be linked to the Canadiens. Anytime he is trade bait, anytime he's a free agent, there will always be rumors of him going to the Habs. Shane is never the "4th overall pick in the 2022 draft", He is always "Slipped to 4th after Montreal passed him over for Slafkovski at #1"
No. Shane Wright will be a mistake on the Canucks. Cost too much, and we don't need a dude with such death stare.
This will be our final reclamation project, but go for Alexis Lafreniere from NYR. I am only doing this because, we desperately need someone to play with EP40. Yes we are tanking for the next year or 3, but we cannot literally just let EP40 rot with 3rd liners. Lafreniere is not even that bad, but his contract greatly decreased his value, and both himself and the NYR wants him gone. You cannot sell him to a contender, because contenders only wants rental not this long term contract. Canucks is rebuilding so doesn't mind the cap hit, so we have the upper hand. Whenever he gets moved, you will be surprised how cheap he will be. The NYR CCs on YouTube are saying "Just get a 3rd or 4th round pick and get rid of his contact! Or retain salary and get a better pick. Just get rid of him! We are done."
Why does it sound like a repeat on McKenna in 2026?
Wright will be a good second center, and wouldn't cost that much.
I personally don’t think Wright had a fair shot in Seattle,I would love to see him in Vancouver
foprget it not in Mtl wright nope
Shane wright would be a steal.someone who could revive Vancouver. New start..fresh creativity..
I think Wright is a very good hockey player being misused. He is very smart, smart and he CAN SKATE. If he’s getting only 13 min/GM you know he isn’t playing with talented guys. The guy is extremely responsible and would be a perfect 2nd line centre and 1st choice to kill penalties. He could play for my Team any day…he just needs to play for a Team that KNOWS his skill set.
Why would Montreal trade for him?? First of all Kapanen is better than Wright, also Michael Hage is on the way. That would be the dumbest trade ever
Trade Laine for Wright trash for trash
The Habs don't want Wright. They did not want him at the draft. Why take him now.
I'm pretty sure the Jets are the front runners.
Hage for Wright?
