Stupid punishment in the first place, yet Vegas always gets a slap on the wrist. Also, the NHL needs to get rid of the NTC/NMC bullshit.
What I will never understand is why were the Senators held responsible after he was traded again. Once he was traded to Vegas, then it fell on Vegas to honour the contract. The Sens did it correctly by trading him to Vegas. Still a big penalty as they did nothing wrong. Vegas lawyers should have read the contract. Great video Mike. 🏒🏒🤷🤷

Similar to the New Jersey Devils punishment for the Ilya Kovalchuk contract cap circumvention. Didn't do anything and eventually got a worse pick and maybe the Ottawa Senators knew that. Calgary Flames need Gavin McKenna the most anyway if Ottawa happens to win the lottery first.
