Idk why people want Tippett traded so bad. He has all the talent to be a top end elite talent in the league. He is still maturing and just entering his prime. Giving him up now after we got him for giving up Giroux would be a huge waste
I’m at the point with all the wingers we have and that are coming I’m going to dangle Michkov out there to try to get a young stud Center.
I’m not down on Michkov, not a great season but there’s a lot more to be had from him. It’s just simply dealing from a strength to address a weakness and Michkov could be the guy that could land you a legit young Center. Someone like Hage from Montreal or something. I wouldn’t trade him for a Robert Thomas type who’s good but not good enough for that type of return. It would have to be a more dynamic clear cut number one C
With wingers like Konecny, Tippett, Foerester, Zegras already top 6 guys and add Barkey and Bump as guys who look at least top 9 players if not also potentially top 6 something has to give. Not to mention Martone who will be a first line winger as well. And who I’m willing to bet will at the end of the day put up better numbers than Michkov.
Also that’s a smallish bunch. Not sure the Flyers want to be that small when playoffs have shown it’s a grind.

If you can make that X a legit number one Center even at the expense of Michkov…. That’s a damn good top 9.
Fully prepared to get destroyed for suggesting it. Not even sure it’s a good idea. But it’s something to think about.
