Marchand is probably gonna play till he has a career ending injury. The Panthers are likely banking on that happening in the back half of his new contract so they can keep him on LTIR. The LA Kings did a similar deal with Marian Gaborik when he helped them win a Cup in 2014. He couldn’t play anymore after the 4th year of his 7 year deal.😂😂
